We are delighted to be one of six Welsh companies taking part in a Welsh Government led trade mission to New York this week.
Companies from a range of sectors – from consumer goods to professional services, materials to manufacturing – are taking part in the mission which runs from 20 – 26 March.
It will offer everyone involved the chance to promote their products and services on the international stage and to explore new and exciting opportunities for business development and exporting to the US.
Wales’ Economy, Science and Transport Minister, Edwina Hart said:
“The United States is by far Wales’ largest export market and is worth over £2.7billion to the Welsh Economy.
“As the world’s premier economic power-house, engaging with businesses there is essential for Wales and this trade mission aims to do just that”.
Of course, Corgi already has an established customer base in America – in fact, it is our largest market outside of the UK – but we are always looking to develop this and do out bit to fly the flag for Welsh products and manufacturing on the global stage.
Our Co-Director and Head of Design Lisa is attending the event on Corgi’s behalf. She has gone armed with a large stock of Corgi socks and knitwear, including our 100% pure cashmere socks which are always a huge hit at these kind of showcases.
Joining Corgi at the event are fellow Welsh companies Recycle Direct Ltd, Cotech Sensitising Ltd, Vicky Rowe, Coup Media and old friend of Corgi, the jewellery designer Mari Thomas – who Lisa managed to catch up with for a coffee at chat at the iconic Grand Central Station.
